The Giver by Lois Lowry is the first book of a captivating series. It tells the story of a boy, Jonas. He is a young boy who lives with his family in "the community". In " the community", everything is perfect and there is absolutely nothing harmful. All the painful memories that people in "the community" had bared before was given to one person, The Receiver (also known as The Giver). Jonas had a perfect life with his family until he was chosen to be the next "Receiver". That's when he finally sees what is happening and that turns his world up-side down. This book is absolutely beautiful but is also a dystopia. We would really recommend this book to anyone! Get this book at the library, online, or at a bookstore! (It is also on A Kindle!)
