Have you ever been in a situation where your eyes get a bit sore or watery when you stare at your device for too long? Perhaps after a Zoom meeting. Well, how about a small break? Down below, we will be listing things to do when taking a small break!
When staring at a device for too long, your eyes normally get a bit tired. A small break will help relax your eyes!
What should I do during a small break?
1. Go outside!
Why don't you go outside and have a nice break? Though you would probably want to wear a mask to make sure you are safe! Outside, there are many fun activities you could do! A nice jog through the neighborhood would both benefit your mental health and physical health! You could also get a notepad, paper, or something you could write on, and a pencil or pen. There are tons of small critters and birds outside, see how many animals you can spot! Not that into animals? No worries, you can also do the same with flowers, plants, etc...
Maybe you want to help out your neighborhood? How about helping pick up garbage such as masks, etc... on the ground! When doing this, you need to first make sure you're safe so you would probably want to wear a mask, gloves, and carry a plastic bag to put the garbage in. This way, you can easily take of the mask and gloves to make sure no harmful germs will get on you!
2. Exercise!
Exercising is a great way to relax your eyes. After being in one position and staring at your device for so long, maybe some movement would help! Here are some suggestions!
Running, whether it's running around your neighborhood or on a treadmill, it helps loosen up your body and improve your physical and mental health.

There are, of course, more exercises you could do!
3. Help around the house, chores, etc...
You can do many different things such as helping wash the dishes, do the laundry, etc... This will not only help around the house, but this will also help relax your eyes as you are not staring at the screen.
You can do any of these things during your break but make sure that the activities do not strain your eyes or make your eyes more tired. Reading is a good way to relax, however it sometimes might strain your eyes, so maybe do something that doesn't strain your eyes!
